Another night in a hospital room has taught me another lesson about “slowing down.” Reaching my 5th day of incarceration I’m finally starting to “catch my breath” and feel a bit better. It’s amazing as we scoot through life and take simple things in life for granted…like breathing! Something that seemingly we do without thought, now has been the preoccupation of my mind for 5 days. My golf game doesn’t even require this much concentration; although some would say it should! Well, here’s my lesson: “Take nothing for granted!” Not your time, not your life, not your job, not your family, and certainly not your eternity! Just when you think things are going well, something can change on a dime and make you wake up to what’s really important! What preoccupies you? Is it the right thing?
